In partnership with the Dare County Arts Council and the OBX Film Society, Ocracoke Alive is hosting three evenings of this year's Oscar Nominated Short Films, in the categories of Animation, Live Action, and Documentary.
This special release features the year's most spectacular short films and is available to watch on the big screen for a limited time shortly after nominations are announced.
The Live Action Nominees are: Invincible CANADA/30 MINS/2022 Director ~ Vincent René-Lortie Synopsis Inspired by a true story, Invincible recounts the last 48 hours in the life of Marc-Antoine Bernier, a 14-year-old boy on a desperate quest for freedom.
Knight of Fortune DENMARK/25 MINS/2023 Director ~ Lasse Lyskjær Noer Synopsis The loss of a loved one, the grief, the risk of yellow skin, and a coffin, that is too much for Karl to face.
